Better Safe than Sorry

on Friday, September 25, 2009

I was on the way to the bank when I saw this.

It's definitely a strong car - the old Mitsubishi Galant. Hit either my car or yours - I'm pretty sure our car we'll be in a worse position. I suppose the owner loves it a lot tolet it go. Hence, despite  (perhaps) the boot not working properly - as in the lock - the owner might as well use a pad lock -

Perhaps, Mr.Bean should patent his idea. I know for a fact that, that is what he does to lock his Green Mini!

Mia's Thrid - Part 2

Remember that in the earlier entry I mentioned that Mia had 3 celebrations for her third birthday. Well, this are the pictures from her celbration with Tok Wan and Nini in PTJ.

Theme : Mr.Bean

Mr.Bean alright

MiaMia can't wait to blow the candles

MiaMia and her cake

Tok Wan and Nini singing 'Appy Bipfthday" (as MiaMia pronounced it)

Anyway, by end of next week - there'll be 4th celebration for her as she will be celebrating with her uncles and unties of the September babies.... hhmmm... more gifts for me to buy!!

27 Weeks Down - 13 To Go

27 weeks pregnant

You're in the home stretch — two trimesters down, one more to go. Your baby is growing steadily as he prepares for delivery day. He will gain weight rapidly over the next weeks and, as the size of your bump increases, you may feel more breathless and tired. Your baby's acting more like a newborn now, too. He opens and closes his eyes, sleeps and wakes at regular intervals, and may suck a finger or thumb. He may also be hiccuping a lot this week, which explains that odd rhythmic sensation you've probably been feeling.

Honestly, I am not like your typical Mamas out there who would take note of every changes that their body goes through during this period. What to eat - what not to eat - what to do - what not to do.

Anyway, with 13 weeks left - I'm glad... Not that the bad is heavy. Don't get me wrong but the fact that I seem to have this uncomfortable feeling that I want to puke all the time. Unlike with MiaMia - although I had an unforgettable experience with people - the process was an unchallenging one compared to this.

Honestly, I admire Mamas with many children. I have become so forgetful now that I even forget dates - appointments - get time mixed up - etc.... Not done purposely but part of the process of pregnancy.

Oh well, let's hope all will go well...... Insyaallah.

Our Raya

on Thursday, September 24, 2009

Raya this year was at Big Daddy hometown. Ipoh Mali.......

The theme - for Big Daddy and MiaMia and Mia's Mummy - Green - Even the Kakak wore Green. It was rather a quiet one, although I woke up early to make MD's tradition of Soto for Raya Morning.

Surprisingly, Big Daddy made the effort to get a Green Baju Melayu and Songkok.

This year - started of with Makan - Salam and picture ceremony.

MiaMia rather preoccupied with the tele - while waiting for her top to get fixed!

Mia's Mummy seeking forgiveness from Big Daddy and vice versa - seems Big daddy a little shy in front of his mommy.

Picture with the IL - (excluding FIL)

The best we could get with MiaMia in a bad mood.....

MIL and SIL (again ecluding FIL)

MiaMia and her pose (oh we managed to fix her top!)

Celebration of raya was a short one - Let's hope I get to go to MD's house to get some pictures next week.

Salam Eid Mubarak

I hope its not too late to wish all family and friend "Happy Eid Mubarak".

May years ahead be filled with happiness and good deeds.

"Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir dan Batin"

Mia's Mummy, Big Daddy and MiaMia

Mia's Third

It's time of the year again. Mia's birthday and again it fell during the fasting month. Anyway, keeping our promise, we decided that she should celebrate with her classmates at her play-school on Saturday itself. Sponge Bob was the theme for her celebration in school.....

As you can see above - Sponge Bob for Cake Number ONE.

Well, it wouldn't be fun without celebrating with Mia's Mummy and Daddy Manan (as MiaMia calls Big Daddy) So, Cake Number TWO was Jerry (from Tom and Jerry). The Baker asked us to choose either Tom or Jerry ...but not Both... So it was Black Forest with Jerry's picture on the cake.

Of course.. wouldn't be complete without gift opening ceremony. Since Mia's Mummy and Daddy Manan's gift was at MD's house, MiaMia's gifts were from Nenda and Tata.

MiaMia and Big Daddy..

Yup... Educational alright

Big Daddy Menyibuk

Ok...since Nini and Tok Wan wanted to initially celebrate Mia's Third at Pullman's but decided that cake cutting would just be at home... So, there was Cake NUMBER THREE - Theme - Mia's favourite 7.30 p.m. show - Mr. Bean. Oops... No picture taken due to none-camera.

There you go - Three years of age - Three celebrations - With THREE Cakes.........

Anyway, happy birthday little one. May your life will always be filled with joy and laughter and all goodness..

-XOX-

New Moon - Bulan Baru.......

on Monday, September 14, 2009

I can't wait. I can't wait. I have seen the trailer.

I know its like a teenage love story but I simply have this thing for WEIRD love story... It fascinates me, rather than the just normal boy meets girl love story.....

Apparently it will be shown in US cinema in November 2009. Let's hope it gets here soon..... I can't wait- I can't wait.... oh of course I've read the series....

Want to know the ending??

Resume Writing?

on Tuesday, August 25, 2009

I suppose i should start writing again. It has been almost a year that I decided to stop writing. An incident made me paused and re-think of whether there is such thing as freedom to write. Anyway, many thing and events have taken place. The world is becoming more challenging. MiaMia has grown - she's almost three. There was an economic downturn, Najib became Malaysia's Prime Minister, people are dying from the swine flu and God knows what else has happened.
Anyway, let's hope I'll be able to continue writing and not stop anytime soon.
Take care! Ta!

SINCE When...

on Sunday, January 11, 2009

Ok...I've been thinking and thinking and was thinking bout this. Since when that:
  • Asking a person if he/she is alright or in pain is a crime?
  • Expecting surprises on your special day from that special someone is wrong?
  • Sacrificing for someone cause it matters, is wrong?
  • Hoping and wishing that good things may happen is wrong?
  • Sharing your vision and dreams with people - is wrong?
  • Hoping that perhaps one day things will be better is wrong?
  • Looking good all the time is wrong?
  • When 2 people meet they have the right to be together is wrong?
  • Being faithful is not cool?
  • Being a man means you cannot express your feelings?
  • Being a woman means you must sacrifice everything?
  • Being a woman means you have to work double to be at par with MEN who sometimes literally don't do anything to get to the top?
  • People do things for others means its sincere?
And the list goes on and on. My point is that - not everything we think is right may deemed right to others or what one think is right to them means right to us.

Each and everything is subjective.

So, when someone asks " How are you? Are things all right?" Maybe they do mean it as a question and not thinking that things have been bad and how you getting on? Maybe things are just great and maybe therperson is simply asking because she/he cares how things are going on in the other person's life. Some times it's not worth reading between lines cause maybe it's just a direct question.

Life is short. Like I always say "
There's no point sweating and fretting over small stuff!!"

Sahanaya Ruth

on Thursday, December 04, 2008

Mungkin hanya Tuhan
Yang tahu segalanya
Apa yang kuinginkan
Di saat-saat ini
Kau takkan percaya
Kau selalu di hati
Haruska ku menangis
Tuk mengatakan yang sesungguhnya

Chorus :

Kaulah segalanya untukku
Kaulah curahan hati ini
Tak mungkin ku melupakanmu
Tiada lagi yang kuharap
Hanya kau seorang

I alway been a big fan of Ruth Sahanaya, this has been my favourite song...ever been.... means a lot...but would it mean much to a person whom the song would be meant for... good question...

In PURSUIT of Hapiness

Lately I been thinking. What makes us happy? What makes me happy or makes you happy?

A nice surprise?

A post-it with a note saying how much i'm missed?

A grin for the one that has that cheeky smile?

A warm hug when one is feeling down?

Money?

Love?

Affection?

Words of comfort?

Praises?

What makes you happy? I'm still trying to figure that out......

EID Mubarak

on Wednesday, November 19, 2008

OK. Basically one month has passed since EID Mubarak. Hence, my post for the blog is late. Anyway, raya was at MD's house cause we wanted to avoid the known-fact of heavy traffic during festive season. Besides, my SIL was getting engaged that Saturday. (Raya was on Wednesday I think)

MiaMia's raya baju kurung as usual was pink. Mommy had green with Big Daddy green too. Was hoping to get a good picture of Raya but I've failed to do so for the past 3 Rayas. Perhaps next year, there would be a difference to my presentation.. ( how I wished - as I have been wishing that I could shed the stupid 10 kg off).

Here is MiaMia and Keken trying to pose for a good picture! Nooott!
Basically, Bid Daddy and Myself were given a prep talk by MD and FD...duh...

MiaMia and her "Uncle?"
I think next year would be a good year to take a family photo - professionally!
Oh and this one too!

Well, that was raya...1st raya. Maybe it's a bit late but at elast better late than never!
